Ginny at Small Things is hosting a Yarn Along each week. Since I’m in one of my knitting phases right now, I thought I’d join in the fun.
My Itty Bitty Sweater has a sleeve! Or at least half a sleeve. 🙂 I’ve cast on for the other front panel, knit mirrored minus buttonholes. It took me an insane amount of tries to cast on properly the second time. It is now apparent that I didn’t follow the directions exactly for the first panel. 36 stitches, yes. 4 rows of garter, no. But perseverance pays off and now they look exactly alike (but mirrored, of course).
To be quite honest on the reading front, the Apps Review Guide for Android is the most fascinating reading material of the week. I’ve never had a smart phone before and so have zero idea of what is out there, what is possible, etc…
One of the coolest apps so far? Knitting Stash. Do you have a favorite app for your smart phone?

I’m married to a geek. He’s turned my two older boys into geeks. They play android games on his phone and the nook. It’s insane. I don’t really use my phone (G1) for anything except phone calls. I do like Hungry! though. I use it for grocery shopping sometimes.

It is so awesome! I found it easier to input my needles into than on Ravelry, plus I always have it with me in a store so I know for certain if I have the needles I need for a project.

I don’t have and don’t want a smart phone, so you have my sympathy for trying to figure it out.
I had a similar problem trying to get the sides to match on doll sweaters I made this fall for my granddaughters. I think they took me almost as long as a child’s sweater would have taken, and they were much smaller. DK yarn, too, so it wasn’t tiny stitches.
Thanks for stopping by my yarn along.

I have an ipod touch and LOVE it 🙂 I do not know much about the other phones. The itty bitty baby sweater is sweet! You would like the hat that I made for my DH, the pattern is super easy.

i’ve that matching problem before. learned my lesson too – you should see the markings on all my patterns now!

No smart phone or even cell phone here.
Love the green, and glad you were able to get the two sides to mirror each other.
Blessings, Elizabeth

We’ve had cell phones exclusively for years and years now, Elizabeth, ever since we moved aboard our sailboat. They just don’t make land lines long enough! lol!

Ooh, it’s looking so good and cute! Cell and land lines here, but dinosaurs, so no apps, but I DO love my Kindle, I’m just sayin’ 😉
