I was going to find some beautiful Fall flowers, colors, or food to welcome October in. All I’ve got though is a flurry of ladybugs on my toes. Happy days!!!
It has come to my attention that breaking yarn and figuring out sleeves is scary business. So on the recommendation of my sister, I picked up a book about truly brave women, The Mercury 13. Wally Funk is an alum of her college and recently came to speak to the girls which is how she came to our attention. She’s absolutely fascinating and very inspiring!
I must say that the knitting has taken a backseat to the reading this week, but I did dig out some leftover yarn from last year’s Easter Bunnies to whip up a soft cloud of a blanket for another Deployed Daddies Drive. Perfect no-thought knitting during this very busy week.
Who had the thought that this summer was going to be all relaxing, beach side, crafting and mastering the French language? Was that me??? Ha! Busiest summer ever.
I still found time to cast on for the softest cloud of a baby blanket over the holiday weekend though and it felt terrific to knit again. Must remember to keep a project or two around! As far as my reading goes, I finished a book this past weekend and this one leapt into my beach bag. Really, it did. It even says it belongs in beach bags on the inner cover. I’ve barely cracked it but I think Peony In Love is scheduled to be in the theaters this summer? Or was that a different Lisa See novel? Hmmm… well, it looked visually stunning whatever it was!
