Key West High School held their Curriculum Night tonight in which the kids wander around putting their names on lists of potential classes to see which ones have enough interest to actually offer next year.
The Steel Drum Band played, competing with the Jazz Ensemble. Culinary students wandered through the crowd offering Monkey on a Stick and 7 different cheeses. The NJROTC Drill Team threw spinning rifles high in the night sky while the Eurythmic Girls whirled their flags.
At one point the ROTC kids were gathered around the Jazz Ensemble and started doing alternated hoo-ya squats, 1 and 3 and 5 would squat then 2, 4, and 6. More and more kids would run up and join the line till more than a dozen kids were snaked through the crowd bobbing up and down to the tune when out from the Emo Dome came the Bahamian Village kids shaking and rushing on past.
It was a nice evening.
