Wingspan and Calvin & Hobbes, making the New Year bright and cheerful! I picked up this yarn while away for the holidays. I’d had my eye on the pattern for nearly a year now and it is a delight to knit! Intuitive & easy once it’s set up which made it perfect airplane fodder.
One of my Resolutions just might be to read more books. I feel like I am not as much of a reader as I once was. I used to be surrounded by stacks & stacks of books. But I don’t really know what I want to read anymore! Something enthralling, of course.
So perhaps I should branch out beyond comics & cookbooks? Any recommendations?

I love Calvin and Hobbes – there’s a short C&H story in our newspaper every day and it brightens up my day
… I like how the yarn color works with your project – really nice
The yarn has great colors! What are you making?
It’s a little shawl called Wingspan. It’s super fun to knit because it uses short rows to shape it all into a curvy swooping circular shape.
Lovely wingspan, I can see why you bought that yarn!!!!
We have some serious Calvin & Hobbes fans in this house! They never get old.
Plus – way easier to pick up and put down than a full fledged novel.
Beautiful colour for your wingspan!
I love Calvin & Hobbes! Think I have 4-5 of the comic book collections. What kind of books do you like to read?
This is such a lovely pattern! I really like your yarn choice too. Noro yarn looks amazing in this pattern as well, if you ever want to make another one.
Does anything get better than Calvin and Hobbes, lol! I’ve been reading/rereading Jane Austen lately – and recently discovered the Jane Austen Knits magazine…dangerous!
Thanks for stopping by and giving me such a warm welcome to Yarn Along. I’ve been eyeballing Wingspan for a while. It looks complicated enough that I’ve been intimidated; it’s nice to hear your review. Love the berry tones in your yarn. Yummy!
